INVITATION – Dementia Dialogue 2012

Alzheimer Scotland - External Events have organised six events, throughout Scotland, as an opportunity for people with dementia, family members, carers and professionals to come along and comment on the progress of Scotland’s National Dementia Strategy to date, identify the gaps, opportunities and priorities and to help shape the direction of Scotland’s National Dementia Strategy from 2013.

CROFTING COMMISSION –OUT AND ABOUT IN HARRIS

The Crofting Commission held its recent Board meeting in Harris, setting a precedent that will see the Commission engage with crofting communities around the Highlands and Islands. Thursday 6 September saw Commissioners gather from as far afield as Coll and Shetland for the meeting in Harris.

The Scottish Social Services Council regularly ask stakeholders for feedback about the services they provide.  Based on this feedback, they are consulting on proposed changes to the Register for social service workers.
