EventScotland has funding to support events that promote tourism, which take place outside the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.  Deadline 01 October 2010.  More... 

Creative Scotland is the new development agency for the arts, screen and creative industries in Scotland and has inherited the funding commitments and investment strands of the Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Screen.  They have a range of funding for various artforms, including Crafts, Creative Industries, Dance, Drama, Literature, Music, Screen, Visual Arts and Filming.  More..

The Big Lottery Fund's 2014 Communities fund has increased its maximum grant to £2,000 and the application process has also been simplified.  More...

Capacity Building

Investing in Ideas give grants of £500 to £10,000 to community groups and social enterprises to assist in the development of ideas.  No deadlines.  More...

Health, Welfare & Disability

The Archer Trust will give grants of between £250 and £3,000 to UK Charities that provide aid or suport to needy or deserving people.  They support projects both in the UK and overseas.  Trustees meet twice a year, in March and September.  More...

HM Revenue and Customs has issued a Brief to remind charities that the 'charitable buildings' VAT concession (ESC 3.29) was withdrawn on 1st July 2010,  download the Brief.
